Punch/Drinks

1. Cranberry Punch - Elizabeth Ergle Rinder

1 Frozen Welchs Cranberry Concentrate (can use any brand..Welchs is just known)
2 Liter of Ginger Ale
1 Container of Apple Juice

Mix Apple Juice and Frozen Cranberry together. Stir. Pour Ginger ale on top and serve.

Can use any flavor mixed with apple juice and ginger ale, but the cranberry is my favorite.

P.S. We usually fill our bundt pan w/ water and freeze. Can always add fresh cranberries or fruit in water as well. Put in punch to keep cold..also makes it look pretty..esp at Christmas, it looks like a wreath. Just an idea :)

1 packet of black cherry Koolaid

2 cups of sugar

4 cups of water

1 large can of pineapple juice
2 2-liter bottles of ginger ale

Dissolve Jello, Koolaid, sugar, and water on medium heat. Remove it from the heat and let it cool off. Add the pineapple juice. Mix well. I mix mine in a gallon jug. Freeze it overnight. I usually freeze mine in a gallon freezer bag (doubled up). Add ginger ale to a punch bowl, and then take the frozen mixture out and add it to the bowl as well. Use a large knife or serving spoon to shave the frozen mixture into the punch bowl. Doing this makes it frothy, and it is sooo delish!

11.My version of Starbucks' Peppermint Mocha-Carrie Soule Davis

brewed coffee (your fav blend- mine is vanilla mac nut)
powder mix for peppermint hot chocolate (I like Ghirardelli's - I stock up at Christmas time and use throughout the year)
Peppermint syrup (can buy a big bottle directly from Starbucks - like $7 or can buy in the drinks/specialty section of most supermarkets)
Peppermint mocha flavored coffeemate liquid creamer (or other flavors - i have been known to use regular, vanilla, or even coconut!)

1. Brew coffee normally according to your taste.
2. Add several generous spoonfuls of the peppermint hot chocolate mix to a mug(the same amount as if you were making regular hot chocolate).
3. Fill the mug with coffee instead of the water or milk you would normally use when making hot chocolate.
4. Add a teaspoonful of the peppermint syrup (or more to taste!)
5. Add a spoonful or two of the coffee creamer (or more to taste).
6. Stir everything together and enjoy!

Voila! A yummy, almost-Starbucks peppermint hot mocha that costs A LOT less to make! I make these almost every morning in the winter to get me through my morning commute! I find that with the peppermint syrup, hot chocolate powder and the flavored creamer that I don't need to add any additional sweetener. It is pretty sweet the way it is! :)
